Small Blessings

Even at the worst of times, I am ever grateful for the small blessings. A beautiful sunset/sunrise. A cool day. A laugh shared with family or friends. A simple but satisfying meal. A successful market shopping trip. Affection from my furry babies. Happy memories popping into my head. Anything and everything.

It's been a good few weeks in the blessings department. My little banking booboo (human error) was happily resolved. Thank you God. Words from a medium or whatever have helped Mom try to let go some of her anger and guilt and as a result, Mom was able to join Dad and I for little family dinners again. Thank you God. I survived the six month mark without being too sad because I was enjoying the day with my Dad. Thank you God. A situation with the landlords that could have turned ugly was resolved and we will be staying put. Thank you God.

I don't read His word like I should. I can't remember the last time I went to church. While I talk to God often, I don't always pray, well not the traditional way I guess. But thanks to God's goodness, He continues to bless my life each and everyday and I continue to feel His prescence. Lord, thank You for Your many blessings and for the people in my life who You use to make those blessings.

I am really happy for you mija that things in your life have been picking up because there has been enough bad news in our lives to wear us down but I am glad that you hold strong to your beliefs and know that all will work itself out with a little faith in him. I love you mija

I don't know much about the subject, Isa, but I figure it's not how much you praise god, it's how you apply those teachings. You don't have to read the bible to be good person, hun. God loves you, and so do I.

Laurence.
